4 Day Painting Workshop

Welcome to Circle Z Ranch, a vacation experience that will envelop you in a time and place when days were spent on horseback and nights under a blaze of stars. Our all-inclusive Arizona dude ranch vacations are memorable experiences for our guests. Our historic ranch is nestled in Southern Arizona’s Sky Islands, known for its vast grasslands and vaulting mountain ranges. Guided by expert wranglers, you will explore trails across thousands of acres ­so scenic they’ve been the setting for many Western movies. Back at the ranch you can partake in other outdoor activities or join guests, fireside, in our colorful and spacious lodge. Meals are cooked from scratch using locally grown ingredients. This is ranch life at its best.

This is a 4-Day painting workshop. Here's what is included:

• At least 5 hours of daily instruction.
• Learn how to create a compelling composition.
• How to bring life and emotion to your subject matter.
• Drawing out your idea on canvas.
• The initial block-in with oil paint.
• Adding the detail, one brush stroke at a time.
• Both in-studio painting and plein air painting.
• Personalized and 1-on-1 instruction with James.
• Art business lectures.

This course will be taught in oils. Students will be responsible for bringing their own supplies. A supply list will be provided.

This class is limited to 10 people. A small group allows me to be more available to you!

Please note that this class is great for ALL skill levels. Whether you have been painting for years, or never held a brush, you are most welcome to join us!

Here are the rates for the 4 day all-inclusive stay. I have separated them out between riding and non-riding rate. The rooms we have available are the king and queen rooms and the 1 bedroom suites. Please note that this rate is for a Sunday-Thursday stay, and includes sales tax and service charge.

Check-in on the 8th is at 4pm and checkout on the 12th is at 2pm.
